The Story Behind Tilda

Tilda’s roots trace back to early 1990s Ottawa, when they were known as the Belfast Cowboys, celebrated for their energetic sound. They later evolved into The Flats before becoming Tilda in the 2000s. Their “neo-folk” debut album, Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor, was released in 2014. Momentum was disrupted after recording Matter of Time in 2019, as the pandemic brought unforeseen challenges. Set adrift for years, the band reunited in 2024, with the stars aligning to bring them back on stage. With no plans to look back, Tilda is gearing up to release new material in spring 2025, sharing their journey through the pandemic and beyond.
